In a recycling society system where the metal-containing materials recycled are separated into components by a separation agent and the components are processed by agents such as recycling agents, separation agents, steel manufacturers, aluminum smelters, nonferrous smelters to recycle recyclable metals to be returned to manufacturers, the recycled metal counting system 1 specifies the total amount of the metal-containing materials, each kind of recyclable metal recycled, and its amount and includes a host computer 10 and a plurality of clients 30 for different agents. Based on the total amount of the metal-containing materials, the host computer 10 stores the expected amount separated as each component by the separation agent, the expected amount conveyed in to each agent, and the expected amount of recyclable metals processed and recycled by each agent. The plurality of clients 30 for the different agents can correct the expected amounts related to their own work that are stored in the host computer 10.
