To provide a recycled paper storage box which is free from deviation and sagging of a binding string when newspaper is stored therein, free from a risk of mischief of a hanging portion of the string by a pet kept in a house, and facilitates binding of the used newspaper after storage of the same even if the user cannot find the string at the beginning of the storage.

The recycled paper storage box is formed of a quadrangular external frame having no bottom portion, and a base fitted into the external frame. The external frame has acute notches at mutually opposite sides of upper portions thereof, and each notch has a notched groove formed at the tip thereof, followed by forming a pocket outside the notched groove. The base has a large groove formed therein in a location corresponding to each notched groove, so that the operator can put the arm into the large groove. Further the base has a handle arranged thereon.
