PURPOSE: To increase the recycling capacity and reduce cost by feeding large- fragmental recycling asphalt into a cage-form cylindrical rotary array and axially conveying it and then, heating to obtain aggregate fragments having a required size.
CONSTITUTION: An inclined cylindrical drum 12 is mounted on a platform 20 through rollers 22, and rotationally driven by a motor 26. A heating chamber 30 provided with burners 40 is installed at the discharge end of the drum 12. A plurality of tubular members 50 are arranged at every circumferential distance in the drum 12 to form a cage-form assembly 52. Further, one end of each tubular member 50 is connected to the chamber 30 through a manifold 60, and the other end is connected to an exhaust hole 112 through a return member or the like. Large fragments 70 of asphalt are fed into the rotating cage 52 and transferred while being heated. small fragments passed through the gaps between the tubular members 50 are recovered from the discharge end. In this way, asphalt materials can be efficiently recycled in a compact apparatus and emission of contaminated gasses can be prevented.
