To provide a recycling method of copper scrap materials to produce high-quality copper by using waste copper containing 350 ppm or more of oxygen and using a conventional shaft furnace melting electrolytic copper without requiring a great amount of a dilution material consisting of electrolytic copper such as waste wires in a plant and high-grade scrap nor an oxidation treatment process for molten copper.
The recycling method of copper scrap materials includes: a melting process for forming molten copper by the shaft furnace from a scrap material consisting of a thin copper alloy material wherein titanium oxide is dispersed in a crystal grain or a grain boundary and a scrap material consisting of waste copper containing 250-400 mass ppm oxygen; and a removal process for removing the titanium oxide floating on the surface of the molten copper in the melting process.
