To provide a recycling system that can promote resource recycling.

The recycling system connects a terminal 30 that instructs printing, an image forming apparatus 40 for printing on a printing medium 50, a disposal apparatus 60 for disposing of the printing medium 50, and a recycling information management server 20. The recycling information management server 20 stores recycling definition information, generates recycling information according to the recycling definition information, and issues an ID associated with the recycling information. The terminal 30 generates a print command with the ID added thereto. The image forming apparatus 40 acquires the recycling information with the ID, generates a recycling tag 51 to read the recycling information and records it on the printing medium 50. The disposal apparatus 60 reads the recycling information from the recycling tag 51, disposes of the printing medium 50 according to the recycling information, and sends the result to the recycling information management server 20.
