Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method and assay of vitamin C by emission of light which has increased response speed and higher sensitivity than conventional method in bioimaging which can elucidate the behavior of vitamin C in vivo (such as inside a cell), to provide a novel redox-responsive fluorescent probe, and to provide a redox molecule-detecting method and assay using the same for the purpose.SOLUTION: The invention provides a fluorescent probe consisting of a complex comprising albumin, particularly biological molecules, such as bovine serum albumin, and a phthalocyaninato silicon complex having nitroxide radical as an axial ligand; and a detecting method and assay of vitamin C in or ex vivo using the same.
