Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation of promoting reduction reaction and recovering products and to improve the efficiency of electrolysis by constituting a device so as to efficiently progress the regeneration of lithium after reduction.
SOLUTION: The inner surface of a reaction vessel 8 and the surface of a stirrer 12 arranged inside an oxide recovery vessel 11 are covered with a ceramic coating layer 14. A nuclear fuel recovery vessel 11 is formed from porous ceramics and combined in one with cathode 10 for electrolytic reaction. The anode 9 on the other side is a carbon electrode. By isolating oxide fuel 13 from lithium 15 with a nuclear fuel recovery vessel 11, only solved lithium contacts the oxide fuel 13. By this, excess adhesion of lithium on products and the nuclear fuel recovery vessel 11 of products is avoided and recovery operation is facilitated. When lithium turns to lithium oxide by reducing oxides, it is promptly regenerated to lithium on the cathode 10. The lithium after regeneration can contact oxide fuel 13 in a shortest path for reducing again by this, and so the consumption and regeneration of lithium is efficiently repeated and reduction efficiency also improves.
