Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear for an automobile safety test generating no pulse in a deceleration waveform when a brake is applied, which has flat characteristics allowing the highly accurate test.
SOLUTION: This reduction gear for the automobile safety test rapidly reduces the speed of a carriage 15 capable of traveling with an automobile 10 under test loaded on it for the automobile safety test. A first friction member 21 fitted to the traveling passage side the carriage 15, a second friction member 22 fitted to the carriage 15 side generating a braking force in sliding contact with the first friction member 21, and an adjusting means for the braking force are provided. A plurality of reduction gears 20 are arranged in the carriage traveling direction to generate the braking force to the carriage over a plurality of stages.
