Abstract:
To provide a reduction gear capable of improving heat balance and maintaining sealing function of a floating seal for a long term.
A reduction gear is equipped with an annular seal storing chamber 74 provided between a fixed housing 28 surrounding a hydraulic motor 2 and a rotary casing 32 accommodating a reduction gear mechanism 44, and an annular floating seal 76 arranged in the seal storing chamber 74. In the seal storing chamber 74, a space larger than the radial thickness of the floating seal 76 is secured between the inner peripheral surface of the seal storing chamber 74 and the inner peripheral surface of the floating seal 76.
