To provide a reduction gear simplifying assembling of a cover member and reducing assembling man-hours, the number of part items and costs.
A ring gear 28 of a travelling reduction gear has a step part 61 formed to be recessed in the inner peripheral edge of an end surface of an opening of a cylinder, and a disc-like cover member 62 is installed in the recessed step part 61, and a retainer 63 for locking the cover member 62 inside of the step part 61 from outside is fitted in the step part 61 of the ring gear 28. The step part 61 of the ring gear 28 and the cover member 62 respectively have screw grooves 65 in the peripheral surfaces thereof, respectively, and the cover member 62 is installed in the step part 61 by screwing. An O-ring 66 for sealing oil is provided between the cover member 62 and the step part 61 of the ring gear 28. This O-ring 66 is fitted in a recessed groove of a side surface positioned in the screwing direction of the cover member 62, and abuts on the inner depth surface of the step part 61 of the ring gear 28, and is pushed to the inner depth surface of the step part 61 by screwing the cover member 62, and liquid tightness is thereby maintained.
