Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction gear which can block the transmission of excessive power in a planetary gear mechanism.SOLUTION: A reduction gear comprises a planetary gear mechanism, an output member, and a torque limiter. The planetary gear mechanism has an output element which outputs decelerated power. The output member is connected to the output element. The torque limiter is arranged at a connecting part of the output element and the output member, regulates the relative rotation of the output member with respect to the output element by friction resistance in a rotation direction, and when power exceeding transmittable maximum power is applied to the connecting part, blocks the transmission of the power by permitting the relative rotation of the output member with respect to the output element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
