Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce tack of transparent molded article of acrylic rubber by heating and crosslinking a copolymer of an alkyl (meth)acrylate and a dicyclopentenyl group-containing (meth)acrylate. CONSTITUTION:A transparent acrylic rubber composition comprising an ethyl acrylate-dicyclopentenyl acrylate (molar ratio of 97:3) copolymer, tetraethylene glycol diacrylate and an organic peroxide is compression molded at 115 deg.C for 40 minutes to give a transparent rubber sheet. A glass filter and an interference filter are arranged between the transparent rubber sheet and a light source of 400W mercury vapor lamp and the rubber sheet is irradiated with ultraviolet rays for 5 minutes in a nitrogen gas atmosphere to extremely reduce surface tack without substantially damaging light transmission of rubber sheet.
