Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reduction method in copper refining capable of reducing the using amount of a liquid reductant.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for reducing crude copper in a refining furnace 30, comprising: a first crude copper charging step where molten crude copper is charged so as to satisfy a part of the effective volume of the refining furnace 30; a reductant charging step where a solid carbonaceous reductant is charged before or after the first crude copper charging step; a second crude copper charging step where, after waiting till the behavior of the charged solid carbonaceous reductant is made stationary, molten crude copper is charged from the upper part of the solid carbonaceous reductant; a reduction step where the fluid reductant is blown into the molten crude copper, and reduction is caused; a reductant exhaust step where the refining furnace 30 is tilted, and the solid carbon carbonaceous reductant is exhausted from a furnace port 32; and a molten crude copper exhaust step where the refining furnace 30 is tilted to the opposite side to exhaust the molten crude copper for anode casting from the tap port 33, and further, the exhausted solid carbonaceous reductant is charged to a converter 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
