Abstract:
PURPOSE:To release the engagement on overload time and protect a transmission mechanism from damage by fitting a movable element biased by a spring disengageably in a recess in a fixed portion of a planet gear capable of selection between a reduction operating state and a non-operating state. CONSTITUTION:A recess 1g is provided on the outside of an intermediate wheel 1e on the fixed side of a coupling change-over movable portion between a transmission shaft 21 and an output shaft 22, and the recess 1g is engaged with a movable element 1B biased by a spring 1C fixed to a transmission case 8. Although this engagement is maintained where the load is small, under overload the force of the wheel 1e exceeds the force of the spring 1C so that the movable element 1B comes out of the recess 1g of the wheel 1e. As a result, the output shaft 22 is set free and the mechanism is protected from damage.
