To reduce a cost by reducing the number of parts of a reed-swinging device and facilitating the assembly while enabling three reed-swinging motions to be carried out while changing the swinging positions so as to respond to the upper and lower movements of needle rows in the front and rear parts in one knitting cycle in a double raschel machine.
The reed-swinging device is constituted as follows. A first driven shaft 12 including a first eccentric mechanism 11, and a second driven shaft 14 including a cam mechanism for alternately moving the needle rows 1a and 1b of the front and rear parts in the vertical direction for one revolution based on three revolutions of the first driven shaft 12 are provided. A reed-swinging hanger 6 is connected to an eccentric lever 15 swung by the eccentric mechanism 11 through a transmission linking member 22. A swinging fulcrum 15a of the eccentric lever is supported by a second eccentric mechanism 24 provided in the driven shaft 14 so as to be displaced. The swinging displacement of the eccentric lever 15 by the eccentric mechanism 12 and the displacement of the swinging fulcrum 15a by the eccentric mechanism 24 are synthesized, and transmitted to the reed-swinging hanger 6.
