A right and a left protruding surface parts 7E protruding to the transverse lateral sides are formed and protruding ends 7a in the right and the left protruding surface parts 7E are protruded from the outer peripheral surface of a fixed hood 5 to the transverse lateral sides. A bulged surface part 7F bulging outwardly in the radial direction is arranged over the right and the left protruding surface parts 7E and a finger pad peripheral part 7G located on the side opposite to the side where a reel leg carrying part is present sandwiching the rod shaft center X therebetween. A continuous curved surface is formed within the range from the protruding surface parts 7E through the bulged surface part 7F to the finger pad peripheral part 7G.
