Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alter a γ-correction characteristic according to characteristics of a liquid crystal material and a liquid crystal panel.
SOLUTION: Resister elements R0-R7 have resistance ratios for γ-correction and generates γ-corrected intermediate voltages based on the voltage across both input terminals V0, V64. γ-correction adjusting circuits 42 adjust the γ- corrected intermediate voltages upward or downward based on the data for adjustment latched by a data latch circuit 43. In such a manner, the γ-correction characteristic can be altered according to the characteristics of the liquid crystal material and liquid crystal panel without modifying a design of a source driver, by providing the data latch circuit 43 with adjustment data in accordance with the characteristics of the liquid crystal material and liquid crystal panel.
