Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove silver ions efficiently by treating electro-deposition coating paint liquid contg. silver ions as an impurity by means of an iminodiacetic acid type cation exchange resin of which the specific number of exchange groups is amine type. CONSTITUTION:This is a method for refining of, for example, acrylic-acid-base electro-deposition coating paint liquid which has been in electro-deposition coating and contains silver ions as impurities. If this liquid is treated with an iminodiacetic acid type cation exchange resin of which 50-100% of the entire exchange capacity is amine type, silver ions are completely removed. The cation exchange resin of amine type is obtained by washing an H type resin with an amine soln. which is used as electro-deposition coating paint such as triethanol amine or dimethyl methanol amine.
