Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition substantially not containing isocyanate which enables a time from drying to polishing to be short under a condition of from an ambient temperature to a low temperature (eg. not greater than 80°C).SOLUTION: The multicomponent primer composition substantially not containing isocyanate and curable at an ambient temperature, which is useful as a polishable primer for an automobile, has a pigment volume concentration (PVC%) of 20-60, and includes: at least one ingredient of a pigment, an extender and/or a filler; at least one (a) polycarbamate of alkyd polyol, acryl polyol, or a mixture thereof; and at least one (b) polyaldehyde or acetal or hemiacetal of components other than the component of at least one polycarbamate.
