To provide a color liquid crystal display device of a low cost which makes it possible to obtain high-contrast images bright when viewed from any directions.
The color liquid crystal display device of a bright and high contrast which is capable of lessening the unnecessary reflected light from non-apertures and is capable of determining a numerical aperture only by nearly the spacings between reflection films 3 and the spacings between the transparent electrodes 6 and 11 is obtained by adopting the element structure which forms only the colored layers 5a to 5c without forming light shielding layers on the reflection films 3 by removing the reflection films 3 of the portions corresponding to the light shielding layers and imparting a light shielding function to the resin layers 2 having the ruggedness under the reflection films 3 when the device has the built-in reflection plates.
