PURPOSE: To obtain the reflection type screen of a high screen gain adequate for displaying of color images.

CONSTITUTION: Reflection surfaces RF are provided in the positions at approximately mid-points near the cylindrical axis positions of the respective cylindrical convex lenses of a cylindrical convex lens array CLA and the positions at the focuses of the cylindrical convex lenses to be generated in a medium when the medium consisting of the same material as the constituting material of the cylindrical convex lens is assumed to be provided. Light is emitted from the cylindrical convex lenses as the light diverged within the plane of the direction orthogonal with the cylindrical axis of the cylindrical convex lenses by the reflection at the reflection surfaces RF. The divergent light having an approximately specified diversion direction is emitted from the cylindrical convex lenses regardless of the directions of incident light even with the reflection type screen for which the convex lens array is used.
