Abstract:
To reformat binary image data on two or more flat surfaces.
There are various exemplary embodiments, however, this system includes a segmenter to segment binary image data of text on a first flat surface. A subtracter subtracts a binary image of the text from the binary image data, and forms binary image data of non-text on the second flat surface. The converter converts the binary image data of non-text on the second flat surface into gray scale image data of non-text on the second flat surface. A first compressor compresses the gray scale image data of text on the first flat surface. A second compressor compresses the non-text gray scale image data on the second flat surface.
