Abstract:
To provide a modification fuel control method and modification fuel controller which equalize the distribution of fuel for modification injected into recirculating exhaust gas passing through a fuel modification catalyst.SOLUTION: A flow rate of recirculating exhaust gas is detected. According to the flow rate of the recirculating exhaust gas, a region of a fuel modification catalyst 16 through which the recirculating exhaust gas and fuel for modification pass is changed. When the flow rate of the recirculating exhaust gas is smaller than a predetermined value, the change of the region is set small. When the flow rate of the recirculating exhaust gas is larger than the predetermined value, the change of the region is set to all of the region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
