PURPOSE: To squeeze shrinkage-cavity-like vacancy which is generated on inside surface of solidified layer and to press stick solidified metal without making boundary by pouring molten metal into the metal frame for centrifugal casting and pressing the whole of inside surface by applying a specified pressure with a roller when the temp. of the inside surface of solidified layer is at a specified temp.
CONSTITUTION: A roller pressurizing device 4 is advanced and the tip of the pressurizing device is inserted from the through hole of the band of the metal frame by being made to coincide with the axial center of the metal frame. When the temp. of the inside surface of the solidified layer is at 1,000 - 1,200°C, a pressurizing roller 3 is pressed against the solidified layer of molten metal. That is, a hydraulic cylinder 8 is worked and a slide shaft 6 is moved on the side of the cylinder. The roller 53 of each arm member 5 runs onto the plate cam 61 of the slide shaft 6, an arm member 6 is moved outwards with respect to the axis and the inside surface of the solidified layer of molten metal is pressed with the pressurizing roller 3. When the pressurizing device 4 is advanced at low speed while the metal frame is revolved as it is, the inside surface of the solidified layer of molten metal is uniformly pressurized. Pressurizing force is taken as 10 - 20kg/mm2.
