Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reuse an asbestos refractory material fatigued with time and to obtain a safe refractory coating material excellent in fire resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This material consists of an asbestos 1 in a fibrous state like cotton, cement 2 in an aggregate state with the asbestos 1 stuck, and lithium silicate 3 with which the space between the asbestos 1 and the cement 2 is impregnated to stick the asbestos 1 and the cement 2. The cement 2 coats a fire protecting member P of a building together with the fibrous asbestos 1. Lithium silicate 3 sticks the cement 2 and the asbestos 1 to the surface of the fire protecting member P.
