PURPOSE: To infiltrate a bonding material into pores in sprayed coating and to produce a refractory-coated structural body high in adnesion by forming fire-resistant coating in which a refractory aggregate is bonded and hardened by a ceramic bonding material on sprayed coating formed on a base material.
CONSTITUTION: Sprayed coating of metal, ceramics or the like is formed on the surface of a base material. The surface of this sprayed coating is coated with paste or slurry using the powder or fiber of a ceramic material of oxide, nitride, carbide or the like as an aggregate and added with a bonding material, which is dried and hardened to form refractory coating. Thus, the refractory coating structural body in which the bonding material or the bonding material and aggregate are infiltrated into pores in the sprayed coating, showing a high anchor effect and having tight adhesive strength can be obtd.
