To provide a refractory structure of a boiler lower hopper, and a boiler comprising the refractory structure constructed on the hopper at a lower part of the boiler, capable of preventing buckling and breakage by alkali expansion by reaction with an alkaline component in fly ash, and improving durability.
This refractory structure for the boiler attached to an incinerator, is constituted by constructing a SiO2-Al2O3 castable refractory on the hopper 23 disposed at a lower part of eh boiler, the SiO2-Al2O3 castable refractory 232 applied a refractory material having small alkali expansion under a temperature region of 600-800C, and preferably, in SiO2-Al2O3 castable refractory 232, a material including Al2O3 of 30-40 wt.% to the total weight (Al2O3+SiO2) of Al2O3 and SiO2 is used.
