Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a refreshing drink blended with a specific extracted solution of mugwort.
CONSTITUTION: An extract of mugwort with water or a hydrous alcohol is treated by gel permeation chromatography set under a specific condition, an initial water outflow in 0-25 minutes retention time and 95% ethanol outflow are removed to give an extract of mugwort having reduced bitterness. The specific extract of mugwort has reduced bitterness, smoothes a refreshing drink blended with the extract and has excellently inhibitory effects on chapped skin.
