PURPOSE: To substantially improve abrasion resistance in use of fleon 134a by forming a compound layer mainly made of iron sulfide on the surface of sliding parts.
CONSTITUTION: An iron base material in which a compound layer with the film thickness of 0.001 to 50μm mainly made of iron sulfide is formed on a sliding portion is used as sliding parts. When refrigerating machine oil is used to operate a refrigerant compressor, a bearing part, for example, to which a high load is applied by rotation of a shaft locally becomes in the high temperature state, thermal decomposition occurs at this high temperature part in the refrigerating machine oil circulating in the refrigerant compressor, and a compound layer mainly made of iron sulfide is formed on the surface of the shaft by chemical reaction between the Fe base material and the refrigerating machine oil. As a shearing force of this adsorption film is small, a low friction coefficient is given. In addition, when the lower layer is made of a compound mainly consisting of iron sulfide, heat of adsorption of stearic acid is high, and film strength and abrasion resistance are more improved.
