Abstract:

To provide a highly reliable refrigerant compressor serviceable under a high-load condition.

The highly reliable refrigerant compressor is provided by including a piston pin 137 formed of a parent material with crystal grains sizes between 3-5 m, which raises the mechanical strength at a high temperature and assures an enhanced wear resistance of the sliding part. Even in case no hard film 152 is formed on the surface of the piston pin 137, enhancement in the tensile strength and the compressive destruction stress characteristics prevents the piston pin 137 from being deformed due to the over-load operation, and a single-sided contact of a connecting rod with the piston pin 137 and uneven gap between them can be precluded, which eliminates the occurrence of an abnormal wear to lead to a still more enhancement in the reliability.
