To provide a refrigerant compressor excellent in friction resistance for solving the recently arising problem that banes, rollers and cylinders are subjected to more and more harsh sliding conditions, HCFC is replaced with an HFC alternative refrigerant and therefore a combination of materials having a better wear resistance is required.
A cylinder material is a cast iron obtained by adding an alloying element to a flake graphite cast iron, which is not alloyed in the conventional arts, to precipitate carbide in the matrix for reinforce the matrix structure of the cylinder. The cylinder material having a reinforced matrix structure ensures satisfactory sliding characteristics in terms of sliding wear performance with various vane materials having a higher hardness.
