PURPOSE: To provide each of circuits with an optimum amount of refrigerant at the same time by a method wherein a primary circuit generates cold-heat using a refrigeration cycle, secondary circuit gains cold-heat generated by the primary circuit through a refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger and transfers it to a room heat exchanger, and refrigerant is independently circulated through each of the circuits.
CONSTITUTION: A primary circuit in cooling operation is of a conventional refrigeration cycle consisting of a compressor 1, an outdoor heat exchanger 2, a pressure reducing device 3 and a refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger 4, and cold-heat is generated while the refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger works as an evaporator. In a secondary circuit, heat carrier discharged from a refrigerant pump 5 passes through a combustion heat exchanger 6, the refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger 4 and a receiver 9 and is returned to the refrigerant pump 5. At this time, as a burning equipment 7 of the combustion heat exchanger 6 is stopped, the heat carrier is prevented from being heated. At the refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger 4, the heat carrier receives cold- heat through heat exchange between the refrigerant in the primary circuit and the heat carrier. The cold-heat is used for cooling operation through heat exchange between the room air and the heat carrier at a room heat exchanger.
