Abstract:

To improve volumetric efficiency in a piston compressor using a rotary valve.

Introducing passages 31 and 32 are formed to communicate with a passage 212 at a rotating shaft 21. Suction passages 33A and 34A are formed to communicate with cylinder bores 27A and 28A, and shaft bore 112 at cylinder blocks 11, 12. The introducing passages 31, 32 intermittently communicate with the suction passages 33A and 34A. accompanied by the rotation of a rotating shaft 21. The cylinder block 11 and 12 directly support the rotating shaft 21 via rotary valves 35 and 36 integrally formed in the rotating shaft 21. A thrust load absorbing mechanism is imparted in a thrust bearing 26.
