Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a refrigerant transporting hose excellent in the fleon R-134a gas barrier property, flexibility, hot-oil resistance, and heat resistance by forming the innermost layer out of a resin layer having the sea-island structure of the sea phase mainly made of a nylon resin and the island phase containing a copolymer with specific para-methyl styrene.
CONSTITUTION: An inner tube layer 3 made of a resin layer 1 and an inner tube rubber layer 2 of a refrigerant transporting hose is covered with an outer rubber 5 via an intermediate rubber layer 4 containing reinforcing threads. The resin layer 1 serving as the gas barrier layer of the innermost layer 2 is formed out of a resin layer having the sea-island structure made of a nylon resin such as nylon 6 or nylon 66 for the sea phase and a halide IB-PMS copolymer alone or a mixture of this copolymer and a nylon resin such as nylon 12 for the island phase. The halide IB-PMS copolymer is a copolymer with para-methyl styrene substituted with isobutylene and part of hydrogen atoms in molecules by halogen atoms such as bromine atoms or chlorine atoms.
