To realize improvement in COP by reducing power required for compressing air in a refrigerating apparatus which utilizes air refrigeration cycle.
An air refrigeration cycle 20 comprises sequential connection of an expansion machine 22, a heat exchanger 30, and a compressor 21. A dehumidifying structure 60 is provided for dehumidifying heat absorbing air introduced from an inlet duct 23. An inner heat exchanger 15 is provided for cooling the dehumidified heat absorbing air and feeding the same to the expansion machine 22. The temperature of the heat absorbing air is lowered through the expansion of heat absorbing air in the expansion machine 22. The heat absorbing air is dehumidified in advance, thereby condensing no water in moisture content at expansion. The heat absorbing air, having low temperature through the expansion, flows into the heat exchanger 30 to absorb heat from the indoor air. Then the heat absorbing air is compressed by the compressor 21, regenerates a rotor member 61, and is then exhausted.
