To provide a refrigerating apparatus with a fluid machine having an expander and a compressor connected to each other via a rotating shaft, avoiding pressure rise in a refrigerant circuit during non-steady operation.
To the refrigerant circuit 10 of the refrigerating apparatus, there are provided a bypass pipe 41 which has one end connected to a pipe between radiators 21, 22 and an expander 32 and the other end connected between the expander 32 and evaporators 22, 21, and a bypass valve 42 which adjusts the opening of the bypass pipe 41. At starting the refrigerating apparatus, the bypass valve 42 is opened by a controller 60. As a result, a refrigerant pressure difference between a high pressure side circuit and a low pressure side circuit is reduced at starting.
