A refrigerating cycle apparatus has an indoor condenser 12 for heating air by condensing a refrigerant at least in a heating mode operation. A high-pressure refrigerant after passing through this indoor condenser 12 is partly bypassed to reduce its high pressure to an intermediate pressure with the aid of a first pressure reducing unit 26, and heat exchange is carried out between the remaining high-pressure refrigerant after passing through the indoor condenser 12 and the intermediate-pressure refrigerant after passing through the first pressure reducing unit 26 by a refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger 23. An intermediate-pressure gas refrigerant gasified by this heat exchanger is gas-injected into a compressor 22. The high-pressure refrigerant after passing through the refrigerant-refrigerant heat exchanger 23 is sucked into a second pressure reducing unit 27, an outdoor heat exchanger 24, an accumulator 25, and the compressor 22 in the mentioned order.
