When the refrigerant of a separable air conditioner composed of an outdoor unit 7 housing a compressor 1, etc., an indoor unit 8 housing an indoor heat exchanger 9, etc., and connecting wiring which is composed of a liquid-side pipeline 12 and a gas-side pipeline 11 connected between the units 7 and 8 is changed from R22 to an HC refrigerant composed mainly of R290 (propane), a fixed throttling member 14 is inserted into the connecting port of the liquid-side pipeline 12 on the unit 8 or 7 side which is positioned on the opposite side of the outdoor or indoor unit 7 or 8 housing a throttling device 5.
