To improve the energy efficiency and reliability of a refrigerating device by controlling radiation from a compressor.
This device is formed such that a compressor 1, on the outer periphery of which a refrigerant storing space 8 is formed, a condenser 2, a throttle device 4, and an evaporator 5 are situated in an annular shape through a piping to form a refrigerating cycle. This device comprises an operation state detecting means 16; a first two-way valve 10 connecting the space of the compressor to a discharge piping 9 of the compressor; a second two-way valve 12 connected to a suction piping 11 of the compressor; a first two-way valve control means to control opening and closing of the first two-way valve according to an output signal from an operation state detecting means based on a load state; and a second two-way valve control means to control opening and closing of the second two-way valve. The first and second two-way valve control means execute control such that in a case radiation from the compressor 1 is promoted, a liquid refrigerant gathers in the space 8 and effects control such that in a case radiation from the compressor 1 is suppressed, a gas refrigerant gathers in the space of the compressor.
