To improve reliability of prestage-side compressors by preventing shortage of refrigerating machine oil in the prestage-side compressors caused by unbalance between rotation frequency of the prestage-side compressors and rotation frequency of poststage-side compressors, in a refrigerating device having a refrigerant circuit of multi-stage compression.

The refrigerating device (1) includes refrigerant radiators (23, 51) for performing heat radiation of a refrigerant, refrigerant evaporators (71, 61, 51, 23) for evaporating the refrigerant heat-radiated in the refrigerant radiators, the prestage-side compressors (81, 11), the poststage-side compressors (11, 21a, 21b), and a control portion (5). The prestage-side compressors (81, 11) suck in and compress the refrigerant evaporated in the refrigerant evaporators (71, 61, 51, 23). The poststage-side compressors (11, 21a, 21b) suck in and compress the refrigerant discharged from the prestage-side compressors (81, 11) and feed the refrigerant to the refrigerant radiators (23, 51). The control portion (5) performs control for temporarily enlarging the rotation frequency of the poststage-side compressors (11, 21a, 21b).
