Title:
REFRIGERATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3930654
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the dry-up of oil in a specified outdoor unit upon constructing a large capacity refrigerating machine, by a method wherein a plurality of sets of outdoor units equipped with an oil separator for separating refrigerating machine oil discharged out of a compressor and an oil tank are connected in parallel, while the oil tanks for respective outdoor units are connected mutually through an oil equilibrium pipe.
SOLUTION: High-temperature high-pressure gas refrigerant, discharged out of compressors 2a-2d for a plurality of sets (two sets in a diagram) of outdoor units A connected in parallel, is condensed and liquefied by heat exchangers 4a, 4b through oil separators 3a-3d. Subsequently, the pressure of the refrigerant is reduced in an expansion valve 7 through receivers 5a, 5b and a liquid pipe 6, then is evaporated and gasified by the heat exchanger 8 of an indoor unit to generate cold air. In such a refrigerating machine, about 90% of oil discharged out of the compressor is separated from refrigerant gas by the oil separators 3a-3d, and the separated oil is reserved in oil tanks 12a, 12b. In this case, however the oil tank 12a is communicated with the oil tank 12b through an oil equilibrium pipe 15 to prevent the dry-up of oil in a specified outdoor unit.
