To enable continuation of refrigerating operation even when a heat source device happens to stop in a refrigerating system of a dual refrigerating cycle applied for a showcase.
This refrigerating system uses a first refrigerating circuit 1 for a refrigerating equipment 6 built in a dual refrigerating cycle in which a high temperature side refrigerant circuit 3 and a low temperature side refrigerant circuit 4 are connected through a first refrigerant heat exchanger 5A, a second refrigerating circuit 2 built in a single refrigerating cycle and a second refrigerant heat exchanger 5B connected to the low temperature side refrigerant circuit 4, and the second refrigerant heat exchanger 5B is connected to liquid piping 36a of the second refrigerating circuit 2 and to a suction side gas piping 36b through communication piping 41 and 42. First switching means 43 and 44 are provided to let a refrigerant of the second refrigerating circuit 2 selectively pass through the refrigerant heat exchanger 5B by way of the communication piping 41 and 42.
