Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration cycle device and a refrigeration cycle device control method capable of accurately detecting an oil quantity of refrigerating machine oil stored in an oil separator.SOLUTION: A refrigeration cycle device comprises: a refrigerant circuit in which a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a throttle, and an evaporator are mutually connected by a refrigerant pipe and through which refrigerant circulates; an oil separator 10 separating refrigerating machine oil contained in the refrigerant; load detection means 13 detecting a load of the oil separator 10; a storage unit storing therein information on an initial value of the load in a state in which the refrigerating machine oil is not stored in the oil separator 10; and an arithmetic unit calculating an oil quantity of the refrigerating machine oil stored in the oil separator 10 at least on the basis of the initial value of the load and the load of the oil separator 10 detected by the load detection means 13.
