To improve performance of a refrigeration cycle device by increasing pressure and density of a refrigerant sucked in a compressor by an inertia supercharging effect.
A refrigeration cycle device 1A includes: a main refrigerant circuit 10 formed with a compressor 2, a first heat exchanger 4, a first expansion mechanism 5, a second heat exchanger 6 and an accumulator 7 connected in this order; and a bypass refrigerant circuit 30 bypassed from the main refrigerant circuit 10 between the first heat exchanger 4 and the first expansion mechanism 5 and joined to the main refrigerant circuit 10 between the accumulator 7 and the compressor 2. The main refrigerant circuit 10 includes: a suction flow passage 10A between the accumulator 7 and the compressor 2; and normal flow passages 10E, 10F between the second heat exchanger 6 and the accumulator 7. The suction flow passage 10A includes a small-diameter portion 12 having a flow passage cross-sectional area smaller than a maximum flow passage cross-sectional area of the normal flow passages 10E, 10F. One end of the small-diameter portion 12 is connected to the compressor 2, and the another end of the small-diameter portion 12 extends to a joined position 35 of the bypass refrigerant circuit 30 and the main refrigerant circuit 10 or a position closer to the accumulator 7 than the joined position 35.
