The refrigerant device is composed so that a valve control means 53 for controlling an opening of the expansion valve 18 carries out the determination operation for determining whether or not the expansion valve 18 is in a closed state on the basis of the state of a low pressure side refrigerant between the expansion valve 18 and a compressor 30 in a state that an opening command value is equal to a lower limit command value during the refrigerant filling operation of filling a refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit 20 while carrying out a refrigerating cycle so that a user side heat exchanger 37 in the refrigerant circuit 20 is operated as an evaporator. The valve control means 53 is composed to correct the lower limit command value to a larger value when it is determined that the expansion valve 18 is in the closed state in the determination operation.
