To reduce a loss of energy caused by a pressure rise of oil to achieve energy-saving in a refrigeration device, in the refrigerating device performing a refrigerating cycle by circulating a refrigerant.
A refrigeration circuit 11 has an oil separator 60 for separating oil from a high-pressure refrigerant, and a recovering mechanism 40 for recovering the energy of the oil after separation. Power recovered by the recovering mechanism 40 is utilized as a power source of a compressing mechanism 20. Furthermore, the oil separated by the oil separator 60 is cooled by an oil cooler 80, and then supplied to the compressing mechanism 20. In a compression stroke of the compressing mechanism 20, the refrigerant is compressed to approximate an isothermal line, and compression power is reduced.
