To provide a refrigeration device allowing a liquid-phase refrigerant to collect heat of a gas-phase refrigerant subjected to gas-liquid separation and further improving controlling performance of an expansion valve in front of a heat exchanger on the utilization side.
A gas-liquid separation mechanism 60 is connected to the downstream side of an expander 56 to separate refrigerant inside into a gas-phase area and a liquid-phase area. In a collecting circuit 81, the refrigerant obtained by decompressing the refrigerant in the gas-phase area of the gas-liquid separation mechanism 60 is merged into the refrigerant obtained by decompressing the refrigerant in the liquid-phase area of the gas-liquid separation mechanism 60. In a supercooled recovery heat exchanger 71, the merged refrigerant is subjected to heat exchange with the liquid-phase refrigerant of the gas-liquid separation mechanism 60 and then supplied to the downstream side of a first compressor 21. A liquid refrigerant communication pipe 5 is used to supply the liquid refrigerant passing through the supercooled recovery heat exchanger 71 to expansion valves 8a, 8b on the utilization side.
