Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure smooth operation and reliability even in the case of using a fluid machine having a constant internal capacity ratio as an expansion machine, in a refrigerating unit recovering power from a high pressure refrigerant by the expansion machine. SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide is filled in a refrigerant circuit (10) of the refrigerating unit as a refrigerant. In the refrigerating unit, high pressure of a refrigeration cycle is set at a pressure not lower than the critical pressure of carbon dioxide. The circuit (10) has the expansion machine (22) and a motor driven expansion valve (23) provided in series. The expansion machine (22) is constituted of a scroll type fluid machine having a constant internal capacity ratio. The expansion ratio of the machine (22) is constant and does not change, but high pressure of the refrigeration cycle can be set at a value suitable for operation by controlling the opening of the valve (23).
