A coolant circuit 10 is provided with first to third coolant passages 36, 37, 38, 39, and first to third opening and closing mechanisms 41, 42, 43 opening each passage 36, 37, 38, 39. A two stage compression action of compressing a coolant in an order of a first compression chamber 29 and a second compression chamber 30, an independent single stage compression action of carrying out single stage compression of the coolant by only the second compression chamber 30, and a parallel single stage compression action respectively carrying out single stage compression of the coolant in both of the first compression chamber 29 and the second compression chamber 30 are changed and carried out by providing predetermined states of the first to third opening and closing mechanisms 41, 42, 43.
