To obtain a refrigerator-freezer performing effective defrosting in a hot gas bypass method, reducing electric power consumption and preventing rise in the interior temperature to improve food quality.
The refrigerator-freezer includes a bypass circuit 9 for defrosting, a tray 19 for receiving water droplets and frost dropped from an evaporator 5 during defrosting, and tray piping 8 for melting frost remaining in the tray 19. A drain outlet 20 for discharging drain to a drain pan outside the refrigerator-freezer is opened on the tray 19, and the tray piping 8 is meanderingly bent in part of the bypass circuit 9 and is arranged along the circumference of the drain outlet 20 or arranged to pass through the upper side of the drain outlet 20.
